A joint effort of Union Graduate College and Mount Sinai School of Medicine,
The Bioethics Program offers Master of Science programs in clinical ethics and research ethics, and certificate programs in clinical ethics, research ethics, and health policy and law. Programs are competency-based and interdisciplinary and have earned international recognition for their combination of rigorous on-line graduate course work, on-site practical student experience, and skills and knowledge assessment.
Master of Science in Clinical Leadership in Healthcare Management
The MS in Clinical Leadership in Healthcare Management program is designed for current and future medical professionals who wish to better understand the healthcare industry/environment or who aspire to clinically related leadership roles. The program gives future clinicians, physicians, pharmacists, and nurse managers an understanding of the complex business environment in which they will ultimately practice. This degree may enhance the academic record for those who plan to attend medical school.
The program is offered both as a "stand-alone" degree and as a joint program with the Albany College of Pharmacy. The joint degree program, the Pharmacy Doctorate and Master of Science in Clinical Leadership in Healthcare Management, is limited to students from Albany College of Pharmacy.
Leadership in Medicine Combined Degree Program
This combined degree program (BS, MS/MBA, MD) integrates undergraduate, graduate, and medical education. Students are admitted into the program directly from high school. Over the course of eight years, they complete pre-med undergraduate work at Union College, earn an MS or MBA degree from Union Graduate College, and earn an MD from Albany Medical College. The combined degree program is aimed at students who envision themselves in leadership roles in 21st century medicine.
